This level is chock full of academic breadth and depth which provides relevant STAAR 2.0 online practice assessments.  Whether you are excited to find fresh TEKS-correlated practice passages, have assessments automatically graded, or have TEKS groups automatically generated for your HB 1416 tutorial groups Level A is a great place to start!

 Practice Passage Information:

-Lexile-leveled passages

-All passages contain a wealth of textual evidence in which to support any type of question

-TEKS-correlated fiction and nonfiction passages, articles, poems, and dramas

-Editing and Revising Passages, Answer Choices, and Answer Keys

-Paired Passages, Answer Choices, and Answer Keys

-Ability for students to use interactive tools offered on the STAAR 2.0 Assessment

-Ability for teachers to view where students used the interactive tools (such as highlighting, answer elimination, and word tools)

-Ability to see each students’ real-time progress within each practice passage

-Ability to assign assessments in small chunks

-Ability to assign multiple passages to work up endurance as the assessment time nears

-Ability to use some or all of the monthly passages within that month or save some for future months to be used as benchmarks

Questions and Answer Information:

-All questions are based on the new levelled questioning tiers used for STAAR 2.0 (The 4 Dimensions of thinking required to answer the new question types.)

-Multiple choice, Multi-part, and Multi-select, Hot Text, Text Entry, Inline Choice, Match Table Grid questions/answers and answer keys are offered at their specific grade levels

-Short Constructed Response (SCR) Prompts

-Extended Constructed Response (ECR) Prompts

-Interactive commenting tool for teachers to respond directly to students’ typed responses (automatic grading of typed responses not offered at this time)

-Automatic Grading sent directly back to the teacher

-Answer choice analysis

-Automatic reports with TEKS correlations & grouping for HB 1416 purposes

-Incorrect answer choice analysis with distractor notes

-Passage analysis sheets for each passage including: TEKS, Style, Theme, Central/Controlling Idea or Theme, Academic Vocabulary, Inferences, and Supporting Textual Evidence

General Notes for Level A: Assessments

-ACCOMMODATIONS are offered at every grade level and selected by the teacher or administrator for each student

-May be used as whole group lessons on a Smart Board type of platform or for individual student use

-Subscribe to the GRADE level of your choice (grades 2-10 offered)

-We offer this level in convenient packages suited for individual teachers, schools, districts, and homeschooling families

-Ability to integrate with Clever platform

-As long as your subscription is kept current, all previous months of information are always available from year to year

-All new passages every year….NO REPEATED passages as students move from one grade level to the next

-Easy bulk uploading capabilities

-A Teach BIG representative will come to your campus free of charge (you only pay travel) and inservice all your teachers on the use of the assessment platform if 25 or more teachers and their students purchase the assessment platform

Public and Private School Pricing

-1 teacher with up to 25 students ($299 per year)

-Additional teachers for team-teaching scenarios, administrator add-ons, and interventionist add-ons are available at only $100 per year

-Additional blocks of students (up to 25) are available for only $199 per year

Homeschool Pricing

-All of the same services are provided at an affordable price of $199 per family, per year (up to 6 children in the same house)

-Multiple grade levels are available under the same family pricing (up to 6 children in the same house)

Funding

-If you need help writing a grant to have this valuable resource for your students, please go to the FUNDING RESOURCES button in our store.  You will find a host of supporting documents that will make your grant-writing journey easier.
