No more using old passages from old tests. All Teach BIG passages are written by high-level educators or experts in their respective science and social studies fields.

Passage practices are grade level and TEKS specific. We have done all of the research for you! You simply administer the practice assessment (answer keys included).

The passages are all based on science, social studies, or fine arts, TEKS standards. They are accompanied by reading comprehension questions, SCRs, and ECRs ready for you to use NOW!

In addition to full length passages, Teach BIG also offers TEKS Task Cards in which to practice the most frequently tested TEKS.
There are task cards for fiction, nonfiction, dramas, and poetry. Every task card contains questions from each of the four dimensions. The four dimensions are questions that deal with knowledge/recall, textual evidence,  inferences/why, and connections/how. Questions from dimensions three and four can be used as SCR or ECR prompts as well as reading comprehension questions.

The TEKS Task Cards have short passages or excerpts included which are accompanied by four questions. The task cards are designed for small group, station work, or verbal practice during little nuggets of extra or transition time within the classroom.
