Experience academic vocabulary for dramas through real-life drama enactments with dialogue. Enjoy this popular children’s book turned drama in your own classroom! The “Leaving Tracks” drama comes complete with four Acts and multiple Scenes. Within each Scene, your students will enjoy multiple numbered lines with enough characters to utilize 22-25 students with varying roles (different roles contain different amounts of reading to accommodate for differentiated reading levels within a classroom).
This drama comes complete with Narrator lines/dialogue and all the correct bolding and punctuation found within STAAR 2.0 dramas. Take the mystery out of understanding drama setups as students grow confident with stage directions, set descriptions, and character development.
In addition to the drama/play, each Act is accompanied with a set of four reading comprehension questions (addressing the 4 Dimensions), an SCR (short constructed response) prompt, and an ECR (extended constructed response) prompt. With four Acts in total, students will have the opportunity to practice new question styles and quality while utilizing 16 reading comprehension questions, 4 SCRs, and 4 ECRs throughout the entirety of the drama.
