Welcome to the perfect companion to our Direct Decodable readers that accompany the Teach BIG Sights and Sounds systemic phonics approach.

The Teach BIG approach has been divided into learning groups. Each of the learning groups has corresponding Direct Decodable readers. Only the concepts which have been taught in that group or in previous groups can appear in the Direct Decodable readers.

You will enjoy the slideshows for the DD readers as they contain follow-along reading dots. The speed of the dots is controlled by the teacher or by the viewer. This allows for an engaging whole group or small group read aloud.

These reader sets can be used as standalone lessons, or they can become a part of your systemic phonics instruction.
