Task Cards: Foundational Prompt Thinking

These foundational task cards help students practice figuring out the thinking job behind a prompt before they write anything down. Students listen, talk through their thinking, and use simple language to decide whether a question is asking for a WHY, a Procedural HOW, or a Relational HOW. By saying their answers aloud and explaining how they know, students build confidence, academic language, and a strong habit of decoding prompts before writing.
