Six Syllables Drama

The Six Syllables Drama is a unique approach to introducing or reviewing the six syllable types. Imagine having a Reader’s Theatre drama ready for you to use with your students immediately! That is exactly what this product provides!

It is important for readers of all ages to be able to break down words into smaller parts in order to read and comprehend the word.

It is equally important that we introduce and teach concepts in engaging and fun ways that do not continually involve memorization and worksheets. But instead, this accomplishes two big skills in one fun activity.  

Students gain practice in reading and understanding the ins and outs of a drama in the same layout as they will see on the STAAR test. Within the drama, students will be thoroughly engaged as they participate in the Reader’s Theatre all about a classroom just like theirs learning about or reviewing the six syllable types. 

At the end of each of the acts, you will have an opportunity to ask your students if they know of additional examples of the syllable type mentioned in the previous act. Not only is the drama interactive as they read lines, but it is also engaging as they can add lines of their own!
